As the title says, the 2016 Dunlop Le Mans Spotter Guide has been updated following two days of Scrutineering in the town of Le Mans. Thanks to some helpful teams and photographers, along with less changes than previous years, I’ve been able to release V2 earlier than ever. Full details including change list on the dedicated Spotter Guide page here.
Feel free to use this advert below if you want to help spread the word! Thanks all
I am very pleased to announce the Le Mans edition of the SpotterGuides.com has been launched, thanks to a partnership with Dunlop Motorsport.
As with previous years, the guide features all the information you need, be it at home, at La Sarthe itself as a fan, marshal, commentator, media or race engineer. From Driver grading to Pit garage allocation and Twitter handle, everything is covered making this the one resource to have at your fingertips.
The third page of the guide will feature map, timetable and other useful information.
Happy New Year!
A quick post to bring you up to speed on SpotterGuides.com plans in the first couple of months of the new year.
Towards the end of January, the official IMSA Spotter Guide returns. Available as an online three page guide or as part of IMSA’s raceday viewing guide, available at the circuit, it will feature all the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Continental Tires SportsCar Challenge entries for the Rolex24.
The online guide is due to be released on 25 January and will be update during race week and will be the first look for a large number of liveries, including one team which will have a cover on their car, literally until Wednesday afternoon.
The printed guide will be available at the IMSA Fan zone inside Daytona International Speedway from Thursday of race week.
Thanks to IMSA once again for partnering with Andy Blackmore Design and almost every IMSA team for assisting.
Once the guide is out the way (plenty of liveries to work through as well – see Andy Blackmore Design for more info), I will be turning my attention to the 2016 Racing Wall Planner which will be released during February.
As before this will be available online, or, if you prefer a larger professional quality will also be available.
Sponsorship is unconfirmed for the ELMS, WEC or Le Mans guides. If your company is interested in getting their brands in the hands of die-hard race fans, contact me and I’ll forward you the Partnership Deck.

Thank you to Nissan and IMSA. Without their support, there would be no Spotter Guides.

In addition to the usual Car, Driver, Engine and class details, the Le Mans guide adds FIA driver grading, Twitter handles, tyres and even their pit lane Garage location.Page Three of the guide includes a timetable, map and helpful links. Each car has been illustrated in detail, with the assistance of virtually every team.

Thanks to NISMO for their support of the guides. Without their assistance, the guides wouldn’t exist.

The NISMO Spotter Guide series returns for 2015 in April with expanded coverage starting from Silverstone. Following a very successful 2014, the World Endurance Championship Spotter Guide will be joined by the European Le Mans Series Spotter Guide for each of the five rounds.
Tthe ELMS guide is set to showcase the dominance of the Nissan P2 power plant with EVERY prototype except one using the Japanese engine! In the World Endurance Championship, over half of the P2 grid will also use the Nissan engine . These will be joined by the new P1 Nissan GT-R LM NISMO from Le Mans.
The TUDOR United Sports Car Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship share the bill at The Circuit of the Americas this weekend and SpotterGuides.com have guides to make your experience more enjoyable at home or the track.
NISMO will be sponsoring the remaining FIA WEC Spotter Guides following the huge success of the 24Hr Le Mans Spotter Guides where we had over 93000 downloads to date.
There are two versions of the Spotter Guide available for the IMSA events. The IMSA Viewing Guide booklet is available to download here, or printed at the circuit, while for CoTA and Petit Le Mans, Andy Blackmore Design will also be releasing a traditional ‘Poster Style’ version of the guides.
